Summary:
Please note: This is a contract/virtual position that will require approximately 10 - 15 hours/week – including participation in regular client calls that happen 2x/week - but can grow as this service is sold to more clients.The Email Strategist will be responsible for consulting with agency clients on email messages and lists as well as coordinating the on-time production (creation, programming, and distribution) of campaigns. Consequently, he/she will also be responsible for providing reporting and analysis to clients following each campaign as well as for maintaining and contributing to the growth of the databases. Additionally, the Email Strategist will assist in creating reports, conducting QA checks, and analyzing marketing campaigns.
Key responsibilities:
- Take an active role in planning of email marketing campaign as well as suggesting methods for campaign execution optimization
- Manage the creative development process, including copywriting
- Set up all campaign elements including email creative, list selection, landing pages and web forms
- Testing of lead flow, creative, and deliverability
- Understanding of segmentation and list building
- Work with Digital Strategist team to understand goals, target segments, campaign flow, promotions, creative requirements and metrics requirements
- Manage, build and run reports showing statistics for every individual email campaign, as well as campaigns in aggregate over broader time periods, to see trends in email delivery, open rates, response rates, segment performance and profit/loss on a daily basis
- Assist business development team in selling email strategy
- Basic knowledge of fundamental practices regarding SPAM and data privacy
- Undergraduate degree required with minimum 2-3 years experience with email campaign management
- Available for weekday client calls twice a week
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a must and Lyris experience is ideal
- Familiarity with segmentation is preferred
- Solid interpersonal, analytical, reporting, process orientation skills required
- Excellent communication as well as attention to detail and organization are a must
