Digital Strategist, Social Media
The JAR Group is a rapidly growing interactive agency looking for star players to join its team.
As a small agency, the environment is energetic, fast paced, and ambitious. We are currently seeking a versatile Digital Strategist who is experienced in leveraging results-oriented social media to support business objectives. Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of all facets of digital marketing (familiarity with SEO, PPC, Media, Email, Mobile and Affiliate), and experience using Social Media within integrated campaigns across earned, paid, and owned media channels.
In partnership with the account team, you will develop cross-channel campaigns and strategies, draft campaign briefs, write and deploy content; “Twitter, Facebook, and blog posts- oh my!” (Bonus points for indicating reference source), monitor and manage communities, analyze metrics, uncover insights, and effectively communicate the results to clients in both written and verbal form. You will immerse yourself in the client’s business and competitive landscape, research opportunities, and come to the table with ideas for creative and innovative ways to leverage social media to achieve their brand and marketing goals.
Qualifications:
- Excellent copywriting skills (the misuse of apostrophes keeps you up at night)
- 3 or more years of agency-side experience
- Superior client service and demonstrated ability to grow client relationships
- Demonstrated experience building and executing social media campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Google +, Tumblr, blogging platforms such as Wordpress, and emerging social networks/technologies
- Ability to manage Facebook PPC campaigns as part of an integrated social media program
- An understanding of the impact of social media across all digital marketing channels (and the ability to discuss the ROI of social media campaigns)
- Deep understanding of the direction the interactive environment is going and a passion for all things digital
- The ability to translate clients’ goals and objectives into actionable & measurable digital marketing programs
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
- Technical and creative proficiency
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Data analysis skills (experience with Google Analytics preferred)
- Strong Excel skills (must love pivot tables)
- Strong Research skills (experience with Radian6 or similar preferred)

Responsibilities:
- Strategy development and creation of social media digital marketing programs for clients
- Creating compelling content and deploying it across multiple social channels
- Actively developing and managing online communities on behalf of our (your) clients
- Participating in ideation sessions with clients and colleagues
- Drafting campaign briefs and strategy decks and assisting in presentation to clients
- Introducing and evangelizing our social media services
- Leading agency thought leadership on social media channels
- Assisting Business Development staff with creative or strategic outlines as part of the RFP or proposal process
- Providing responsive, high-touch, consistent communication to both client and agency team members
- Measuring your results and making adjustments as necessary to meet and exceed client’s expectations
