ROLE: DEVELOPER

They help develop ideas, brainstorm, imagine and blue-sky what's needed to propel our clients' business forward. They work from project start to launch, involved with every phase. They're collaborative, working closely with the Creative and Project Management to consult and accurately translate visual design and content, user experience and function into a living web presence. Being fun goes without saying.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ongoing coding and programming for web development projects insuring scalability and reliability

Brainstorm innovative solutions to technological problems with Creative team

Help to insure projects are done accurately, on time and within budget

Represent the discipline in client meetings

Stay current with technology, advancing the discipline, bringing fresh ideas and industry developments to the group

Participate in business development ideation, business writing for proposals, budget and timing estimates and execution of spec creative

Working with Quality Assurance to develop testing matrix

Author technical and functional specifications for web development projects

Consultation and written POVs as needed for client initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

5 years + experience in medium to large-scale web development in an agency or similar environment

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment

Strategic thinker with strong analytic skills and problem solving ability

Experience defining and writing technical and function specifications

Excellent internal and client-facing communication skills

Familiarity with SEO/SEM/Affiliate marketing technology

Strong command of HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript

Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility

Solid skills using Adobe Creative Suite

Experience with XML, XSL, RSS and associated technologies

Working Knowledge of ActionScript 2.0, MySQL, PHP, ASP.NET

Experience with large scale content management systems, blog format and/or open-source CMS

Working knowledge of Linux, Apache and Windows IIS environments

Experience maintaining separate development, staging and production environments using version control tools such as CVS. Knowledge of VMWare a plus

Working knowledge or development experience of with AJAX, Cold Fusion, Ruby, RoR

Experience with development for mobile devices such as XTMLMP and BREW a plus

Experience with Agile Development Process a plus

College degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience
