Last week the JAR Group attended the 2011 LinkShare Symposium East in New York City. Monday night, June 27th, we held our second annual JAR Cocktail Party where we were able to enjoy a relaxing evening of food, drinks, and music in the beautiful Sun West Loft overlooking the city.It is always great to bring together our LinkShare representatives, clients, publishers, and partners. Each of our clients donated a gift, which we raffled off throughout the night.Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to everyone who attended. We are already looking forward to next year!
The conference was held on Tuesday, June 28th at the historic Waldorf Astoria, where publishers, merchants, and LinkShare partners met for an exciting day of panels, speakers, and networking. The day began with opening remarks from LinkShare CEO Yaz Lida, followed by a presentation from Vikram Sehgal, Vice President and Research Director at Forrester Research, highlighting the future of online retail.Keynote speaker, author, and Wharton Professor, Stuart Diamond closed the morning with an enlightening presentation on how to negotiate in business and life.
All attendees joined together for the Golden Links Awards Luncheon. After a delicious meal, we were entertained by the Upright Citizen’s Brigade who hosted the awards and brought many laughs to the huge conference hall. We were very proud to have two of our clients DHC Skincare and Waterford, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton nominated for Publisher’s choice, and DHC was also nominated for Most Innovative Advertiser. After being awarded Agency of the Year in 2010, we were honored to be a finalist this year as well.
