Introducing the New Interns
I’ve been in New York City now for just under a week working as a summer intern for The JAR Group, and already I’ve been tasked with, perhaps, the most important task ever been given. I get to write the blog post that introduces all of you to myself and the other two interns. So here I go. If you don’t like the job I do, leave a nasty comment or something.
My name is Joshua Unseth (@junseth). I’m from Minnesota and I’m a recent graduate of Brown University. This summer I’m working with Andy Chimicles to design The JAR Group’s newest service offering—a reputation management program called Search Ego. While at Brown I managed websites for the University’s Christian magazine, the Conservative magazine, and I consulted small businesses on how to use their websites effectively. While at Brown, I gained a fascination with all things search engine related. And that’s why I’m here. This is my second stint in the city, and I’m loving every minute of it.
Justin Li (@whosnitsuj), another SEO geek (and currently a student at Cornell University) is using this summer as an opportunity to learn how to use effectively use analytics as a tool for managing online content. Under the tutelage of The JAR Group’s esteemed Param Ghangas, Li will quickly learn how to help our clients understand who, why, and wherefrom their site’s visitors are coming. While at Cornell Justin spends most of his time in the library studying engineering. When he does get away from the books he plays basketball and watches Heroes and How I Met Your Mother.
Steven Neamonitakis (nee-uh-mon-it-ah-kiss) (@sneamonitakis) is the artsy one of the bunch. Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design at Purchase College School of Art + Design, Steven is using his skills as an interactive designer to assist the JAR Group with any of their web design needs. When he isn’t reading about rich internet applications or studying design theory, he enjoys cooking, playing drums and impersonating G.O.B. Bluth.
