We get great summer interns, while working with a great nonprofit, and so should you!
For the past two years we have worked with Step Up Women’s Network by taking on an amazing, intelligent and incredibly dedicated young woman as a summer intern.
If you are in the New York City area, I strongly suggest you speak with Step Up about placing one of their interns with your company.
Step Up Women’s Network, a national nonprofit membership organization dedicated to strengthening community resources for women and girls, is searching for summer internships for 15 teenage girls in their Young Luminaries program. Step Up serves teen girls in under served communities and empowers them through Step Up after-school programming focused on self esteem and leadership, health and well-being, and college and career developing. Step Up’s Young Luminaries summer internship program is designed to expose intelligent and mature Step Up students to professional careers. Step Up offers a robust training program 6 months prior to the start of the internship including mentoring, training on resume writing and interviewing skills, professional etiquette, Microsoft applications, communication, and time management. Past internship hosts have included large companies such as Van Cleef and Arpels to small start-ups like The Jar Group and to independent private consultants. Hire a Step Up intern and get help this summer.
If you know of corporate internship opportunities, please email Kristen Baldwin, Program Manager: kristen@suwn.org for more information or of course feel free to email me AJ @ thejargroup . com if you would like any additional information about the program.
